- Emergency or Disaster Management sign: As the owner of a property and a landlord, you’ll be required to place an emergency sign or notice on each floor in the case of a power outage, natural disaster, or weather emergency.
- Serial number sign: If your building in registered with HPD, you’ll be required to showcase your building’s serial number as provided by HPD in the main entry hall on the building. This sign will also include the complete address of your building and the contact details of the janitor/superintendent. The serial number sign is a mix of the street number and janitor sign.
- Gas leak notice: This notice will contain details of steps that residents need to follow in the case of a gas leak. Place it on the main entrance door of your building.
- Smoke detector notice: This notice will contain details regarding smoke detectors and their maintenance by residents. As a property owner or manager, you’ll be required to post this sign on the main entrance door of your building
- Certification of Inspection (framed): This is one of the most essential documents related to your property that you’ll be required to post above your mailbox. If your building does not have a mailbox, you can display it on the main entrance door or pick a suitable location where the certificate is visible to everyone. The dimensions of the framed certificate must be 6 inches by 9 inches. Your HPD inspector will provide you with the certificate once the inspection is complete.
